Contraplex pin mills are used to treat
the surface of mineral fillers in the fineness range of d
= 5 - 20 µm.
The products are then used, for example, in PVC pipes and
to orient the PVC for use in the insulation of electric cables
(energy savings during polymer production), etc.
The system we use to meter the coating agent is the most modern
on the market. The fully automatic control unit ensures a
continuous and uniform flow of stearin.

Once the finely dispersed coating agent and, for example,
limestone, has been sprayed into the system via a special
atomising bin, the coating process is carried out in the Contraplex
pin mill.
Temperature control is all-important if thermal damage to
the coating agent is to be prevented.
The mixing effect is beneficial
to the process, and the end product is an optimally coated
and deglomerated product.
