Vitamins are
specific nutrient compounds that are required only in
very small amounts but are essential for body growth and
metabolism. But because the human organism is unable to
produce vitamins itself, they have to be introduced into
the body along with our food and sometimes also as a supplement
in the form of vitamin tablets, for example. |
An end-product that is as free from
dust as possible is absolutely essential. Another requirement,
for example, is separation of the fine fraction below 32 µm
from a feed product with a particle size of less than 400 µm.
The Alpine Turboplex Ultrafine Classifier ATP is ideal for this
task.
The system schematic below shows such a classifying system.
The required end product in a fraction of < 400 µm
and > 32 µm is yielded on the coarse side, whereas
the fines < 32 µm (cornstarch) are collected in the
filter.

The system is designed to be pressure-shock-proof to 10 bar
overpressure. The classifier can be opened to permit easy cleaning,
the product-contact components are machined to a surface roughness
of Ra = 0.8 µm, and the classifying wheel is in monobloc
design.
